Overwhelmed with sales

I'm so mad at myself. I can't stop buying things because there are some good deals floating around, haha! If only I were paid/compensated to do this *wink wink* :P

Target has some good "temporary price cuts" on ELF (eyes lips face) and Sonia Kashuk right now.

I purchased a Sonia Kashuk Bent Eyeliner Brush for $2.89 (less with the 10% coupon code and if you have a REDcard) and the Hidden Agenda Concealer for $4.99. I've seen a guru on YouTube use the eyeliner brush and the application looked perfect. And I think I've heard some gurus say that they liked the SK concealer.

For ELF I got a 32 and 100 pc. eyeshadow set. ELF's eyeshadows are pretty mediocre, especially in some of these bigger palettes, but for the price they're really good. The 32 pc. neutral eyeshadows ($2.50) and 100 pc. eyeshadows ($5) are also on sale at Target for 50% off.

Check out the sales for Sonia Kashuk and ELF at Target
  • So here is the code for 10% off your Target order: TGTHTT5Z
  • And if you have the Target card you get another 5% off as well as free shipping
  • Also use Ebates for 3% back of your Target purchase
That's a lot of extra savings on things that are already discounted and cheap to begin with!

The next sort of deal I found is at Smashbox. Their products are pricey as it is, so I tend to stick with the value sets. I'm looking into getting this Click You're It holiday palette. I remember seeing it on Sephora for $49 but the price has now been reduced to $39 on smashbox.com. It's not available anymore on Sephora either after the 20% off sale on sale code.

I haven't purchased this yet but I'm considering it for Tuesday. Why Tuesday you ask? Well, smashbox.com has a Pretty Points loyalty program where if you buy something on Tuesday or Thursday during a certain time, you get an additional free sample. There's also free shipping, birthday gifts, reward points, and other perks. It's worth signing up for, I think. Get all the deets here

To top it off here are some more savings for Smashbox:
  • $15 off a $75 purchase for new members with code WELCOME2
  • An extra sample if you order on Tuesday or Thursday
  • 4% back if you go through Ebates before you pay

And FINALLY a deal for Freeman skincare. I'm a subscriber of MyGlam, a beauty sample subscription company started by Michelle Phan (YouTube beauty guru for those who are not familiar). It's exactly like birchbox, which I am also a subscriber of. There is a MyGlam special for 3 full size Freeman masks for $10 on freemanbeauty.com The cucumber one is a peel-off mask. I always thought peel-off masks were fun. I've never used these products but the price is right and they're made of "natural" ingredients.

    • Use code blogger25 for 25% off
    • Free shipping with $25+ (Tip: but I ended up getting 2 of these sets AND applying a 25% off code and still getting free shipping :D)
    • Free sample with every order

To burn my face off or...? And Origins eye cream

I bought this Salicylic Acid peel last week from Amazon and received it today. My skin has been really bad lately and cl2425 had just posted about affordable chemical peels. There are some pretty good reviews on Amazon for the product. I was still a little scared and undecided about using a chemical peel, even though I had already purchased it. Just as I was about to put it on after a shower, I noticed that my skin didn't look as bad today. I decided I would put off the peel for when my skin gets gross again. The bottle says it expires 10/13 so I still have some time.
I also bought an eye cream from Origins. It will be my first order from them. It seems to have pretty good reviews. There's a coupon right now that will give you a sample size of GinZing. I bought the Origins to Glow set since it comes with a full size GinZing eye cream with other goodies and a makeup bag. The code was also suppose to give you a sample of VitaZing moisturizer, but that's gone now :( Enter code SUPERSIZE to get the sample of GinZing and free shipping with your order :)

OH! And don't forget to use Ebates before you buy anything online! Ebates is a site that will give you a certain percentage of your online purchase back. I forget to use it a lot of the time. And I buy almost everything online!

    Urban Decay Sale

So I had missed the Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV code for $15 off last month. I was a little bummed but then I saw this page. It's another $15 off code! The BOS4 is already on sale for $44 and the code brings the price down to $29! Enter code: SEVENTEEN11 They also added a few more items to the sale page. Spend $50 and you get free shipping too.

Now I'm wondering if I should bite the bullet and get these:

Truth is, I don't need any of these. I've got too much makeup as it is. But the deals!!! What should I do???

    Edit 1/12/12
So I ended up getting the BOS4, shadow pencils, and 1 eyeshadow. I'm so bad with sales.

    Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters!

    Hello all!

I figured it would be time to finally update this thing. I'm always taking random photos and swatches but never get around to posting them here.

So far I have 10/20 colors. I'm planning to collect all of them. That's a huge problem I have. When I like something, I always seek to get them in ever color available!

I don't have all 10 on hand (no pun intended) right now so I'll update this post when I get all the colors together in one place. I just really wanted to post what I already have. Make sure to check back if you want to see the rest!

Where are they on sale this week? (1/8/12 - 1/14/12)
Target - Not really a sale, but Target's prices are usually cheaper than other drugstore's. They're finally available on the website and they're $6.49 a pop. And if you have the REDcard you save an additional 5% with free shipping to boot!
CVS - They're $5.99 at CVS with $3 extrabucks back. That makes it $2.99! The only thing is that there's a limit of one offer for this and the displays are always ravaged :( The sale ends Sunday the 15th.

    Would I buy these again?
Definitely! I usually have a problem with lipsticks making my lips peel and drying out my lips. These are like a hybrid between a lipstick, balm, and gloss. Perfect for someone like me who is still pretty new to lip colors.

I hope to post again soon with some eye looks I did last week :)
